Medical Facts

MEDICAL

Members of the school staff are not permitted to administer drugs or medicines to children. Asthma inhalers may be kept at school to be administered by the child themselves.

HEADLICE

Parents are responsible for regularly checking their own children for headlice. This is a common problem in all primary schools. It is important to treat headlice with a proprietary shampoo and all family members should be included. Regular grooming and the use of conditioner helps prevent the problem.

HEARING/VISION

If you think that there may be a problem then please ask for your child to be assessed by the school nurse.

EMERGENCY CONTACTS

Please keep the school up to date at all times in case of accidents or illness.

SAFETY

In order to ensure the safety of all children we request that jewellery is not worn at school. Small studs may be worn in pierced ears.
